Palestino · Home 2018
The shirt worn by "El Tino" in the year they ended a 40-year trophy drought, winning the 2018 Copa Chile against Colo-Colo, with former Inter Milan and West Ham player, Luis Jiménez, who came up through the club's youth academy, as captain. Founded in 1920 by the largest Palestinian community outside the Middle East, Palestino features the map of historical Palestine as a watermark across the entire red stripe — a symbol of identity that transcends football and has garnered international attention.

THE MAP OF PALESTINE AS A WATERMARK
Club Identity Founded by Palestinian Immigrants in 1920
🏆
2018 · The End of a 40-Year Drought
Wearing this uniform, Palestino ended a four-decade trophy drought in 2018, winning the Copa Chile against traditional rivals Colo-Colo. The team was led on the field by captain Luis Jiménez, an idol who came up through the club's youth academy, who played for Inter Milan and West Ham before returning to end his career at Palestino — starring, with the armband, in the club's most celebrated title in recent history.
🗺️
More Than a Club, an Entire People
Founded in 1920 by Palestinian immigrants, Palestino is now considered the "second national team" of Palestine, supported by the largest Palestinian community outside the Middle East. The map of historical Palestine, present since 2014 on the club's shirts — which garnered international attention and even a fine from the Chilean federation — appears subtly on this 2018 piece, as a repeated watermark along the entire central red stripe, reinforcing identity without abandoning design elegance.
The Colors of the Palestinian Flag Since 1953
The combination of green, white, red, and black used by Palestino since 1953 is directly based on the Palestinian flag, which in turn uses the Pan-Arab colors first adopted during the Arab Revolt of 1917. The main sponsorship of the Bank of Palestine, a Palestinian institution that has supported the club since 2009, is emblazoned on the chest next to the medallion with Arabic graphics and an illustration of the Dome of the Rock.

Details of the Mantle
Every detail tells a story
Red Stripe with Watermark Map
The wide vertical red stripe across the chest features dozens of small maps of historical Palestine applied tone-on-tone — a subtle and meaningful texture, visible up close but discreet from a distance.
Green and Black on the Sides · Palestinian Flag Identity
The green and black stripes complete the white body of the shirt, faithfully reproducing the Pan-Arab colors of the Palestinian flag, used by the club since its founding in 1920.
Arabic Medallion with the Dome of the Rock
On the upper part of the chest, above the sponsor, a detailed Islamic ornament illustrates the Dome of the Rock — a religious and cultural symbol that reinforces the club's homage to the Palestinian heritage of its founders.
Bank of Palestine on the Chest · Back with Multiple Sponsors
The Bank of Palestine, a club partner since 2009, is prominently displayed in the center of the chest. On the back, regional sponsorships characteristic of Chilean football at the time complete the set, with blank spaces for numbering.
