Chivas Guadalajara · Home 2007/08
The most traditional red and white stripes in Mexican football, marking the return of the classic vertical pattern after the "101" experiment of the previous season. Manufactured by Reebok, with Bimbo on the chest and Toyota on the back, it's from an era when Guadalajara confirmed its unique identity in world football: the only major club to field exclusively Mexican players, earning them the nickname "El Rebaño Sagrado". Customized with the name and number of defender Jonny Magallón, who came through the club's youth academy and was an undisputed starter of that era.

El Rebaño Sagrado · Football's Unique Policy
Chivas de Guadalajara carries one of the most singular traditions of any football club on the planet: since its foundation in 1906, it fields exclusively Mexican players, never signing foreigners — a policy that earned it the affectionate nickname "El Rebaño Sagrado" (The Sacred Flock). This 2007/08 jersey is a direct result of that philosophy, worn by a generation of players mostly developed in the club's own youth academy.

Jonny Magallón · The Iron Chiva, Developed in the Youth Academy
Jonny Magallón, a defender born in Ocotlán, Jalisco, completed all his youth development at Chivas and debuted for the first team in 2005. In 2006, he was a key player in the Apertura title win over Toluca. Precisely in the season of this jersey, in January 2007, Magallón received his first call-up to the Mexican National Team by coach Hugo Sánchez, playing in the CONCACAF Gold Cup and the Copa América 2007 — establishing himself as an undisputed starter wearing jersey number 19, both for Chivas and the national team. Years later, he would become captain and participate in the 2010 World Cup.

The Return of Classic Vertical Stripes
After the radical "Chivas 101" experiment of the 2006/07 season — when Reebok designed stripes that simulated horns, in homage to the club's centenary — the Apertura 2007 kit brought back the traditional vertical red and white stripes across the entire jersey, with navy blue sleeves. The classic Guadalajara crest, with the rampant lion and stars, embroidered on the chest, next to the Reebok logo.

Jersey Details
Every detail tells a story
Red and White Vertical Stripes · The Eternal Identity of El Rebaño
The red and white vertical stripes that define Chivas' identity since the club's early days — the return to the classic pattern after the experimental "101" design of the previous season.
Navy Blue Sleeves and Collar · Reebok Logo on Chest
The deep navy raglan sleeves contrast with the striped body, with the V-neck collar in the same tone. The Reebok logo embroidered on the left chest, the club's supplier during that era.
Bimbo on Chest · Classic Embroidered Crest
Bimbo, the Mexican baking giant and historical club sponsor, printed in red in the center of the chest. The classic Guadalajara crest, with the rampant lion and stars, embroidered on the right chest.
Toyota and #19 Magallón on Back · FMF Patch on Sleeve
Toyota printed in white on the back, above the number 19 in silver with "MAGALLÓN" customization — a starting defender and youth academy idol. On the right sleeve, the official Mexican Football Federation (FMF) patch.
