Barceló arrived at Atlas in the January 2019 transfer window, on loan from Patronato, with the mission of scoring goals for the team. This Away jersey from that period carries the Rojinegra identity at a time of transition — two years before the club's greatest title in recent history.

The 2018-19 season was challenging for Atlas: the club finished 17th in Liga MX, with 30 points in 34 games. But it was precisely during this period of difficulty that the new management (Orlegi Sports, from 2019) began to build the foundation for what would become the club's greatest victorious cycle in decades.

In 2021 and 2022, Atlas won the Liga MX back-to-back championships — ending a 70-year title drought. This 2018/19 Away jersey is the piece immediately preceding this golden era: Atlas before it awakened.
